This position will focus on the nanostructural characterization of nanostructured ferritic alloys with atom probe tomography and transmission electron microscopy. The applicant will operate the local electrode atom probe, prepare specimens by electropolishing and with a dual beam focused ion beam miller, and perform atom probe data reconstruction and analysis. The applicant will perform electron microscopy characterization of these materials. The applicant will also be involved with the development of new methods of atom probe data analysis.
Qualifications:
Doctoral degree required with disciplines in other Physical Sciences or Physics. Applicants cannot have received the most recent degree more than five years prior to the date of application and must complete all degree requirements before starting their appointment. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
